Carol has been working in the accounting field since 1986.  She started her accounting career in the entertainment industry with Fey Concert Company where she worked for 9 years as assistant comptroller.   She then moved on to the cable industry for 6 years with TCI Central, Inc. and their successor, AT&T Broadband as a Senior Accountant.  After obtaining her CPA license in 2000, she worked in the public accounting field both on her own and with CPA firms which allowed her to work with a variety of companies and individuals.  In September 2007 Carol joined Leigh A Hogan CPA, P.C. where she grew to know each client and their specific tax and accounting needs.  In January 2017, Carol and Robin Ortiz purchased the firm from Leigh Hogan, and have continued the same level of excellent service to current and future clients that has been provided to our clients over the last 20 years.  

 

Carol works with start-up as well as established businesses; her clientele includes businesses in the entertainment, service, retail, and professional sectors.  The business and individual clients are located both within and outside of Colorado.  Due to Carol and Leigh’s extensive expertise in the live entertainment industry, many of the firm’s clients include artists, clubs, managers, promoters, and various service businesses that are integral to the industry such as publicity, staging, production, and trucking.   Clientele has grown by word of mouth to numerous other business types.  These include welders, physicians, attorneys, auto shops, and liquor stores to name a few.  Her goal is to empower each and every client with financial savvy and understanding.  

 

Carol obtained her undergraduate degree in accounting from Metropolitan State College.  She also attended Regis University where she obtained her Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting.

 

Carol is a licensed CPA in the State of Colorado and is a member of the Colorado Society of CPA’s and National Association of Tax Professionals.

 

Away from the office, Carol enjoys riding her motorcycle in the mountains, attending concerts, and spending time with her family and friends.
