Velda joined Thompson & Ortiz PC in September 2024. Velda has over 15 years experience in accounting and business analysis, with a master’s degree in accounting and finance management and a bachelor’s degree in business management. She currently handles the bookkeeping & accounting for several clients at the firm. Velda’s vast industry experience gives her a great perspective on organizational and operational best practices and efficiencies in all sizes of companies. 

Velda is originally from South Dakota, grew up in the southwest Denver Metro area, and has lived in Arizona, California, and Oregon. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, refinishing furniture, cooking, and reading.
